The last Guerilla Drive-In movie until spring!
This is it, folks: the last Guerilla Drive-In movie until May of 2010. We're showing the movie that jump-started American Goth culture; the first time the Gothic Triumvirate of Tim Burton, Danny Elfman, and Johnny Depp were assembled together on screen.
Join us at Iron Hill for brewmasters Jean and Larry's "Gathering of the Gourds" party. Then cross the street to the Chester County Historical Society Auditorium, which is (O luxury of luxuries!) fully climate-controlled.
But wait! There's more! Not only will we be showing the movie under a roof that is completely intact and weatherproof, but we will also be providing for the first time anywhere at any screening of Edward Scissorhands absolutely genuine THIRTY-TWO SECOND HAIRCUTS. Read on, after you watch the trailer below!
THIRTY-TWO SECOND HAIRCUTS by Anthony Giunta!
Anthony Giunta III, head of security at The Note and proprietor of Salon Chemistry in West Chester, will be providing THIRTY-TWO SECOND HAIRCUTS to Guerilla Drive-In moviegoers.
The rules of the THIRTY-TWO SECOND HAIRCUT are very simple: ONE: you sit in the chair. TWO: Anthony frowns during a brief period of consideration and planning, during which you remain absolutely silent and still. THREE: Anthony begins cutting, and FOUR: precisely thirty-two seconds later...
there's your haircut.
This is the first time, as far as I am aware, that anyone has ever attempted a thirty-two second haircut outside of Marine induction camp. Please be aware that, just like Edward, Anthony Giunta III is an auteur, and you must allow him to have his way with your head. His decision about your styling will be swift and irrevocable. It may be the single most thrilling experience of your whole life.
Oh, and why thirty-two seconds? Well, that's how long Kathy Bates' haircut takes in the clip below:
The Chester County Historical Society
The Chester County Historical Society has an absolutely beautiful auditorium, with evil-genius switches that raise and lower the screen and the windowshades and everything. There's lots of really cool stuff that goes on there, like the "listen local" series that brings local bands in for free concerts (there's going to be a great one on Friday night; you should follow that link to see what else is going on at the CCHS.)
The auditorium is fully furnished with luxuries that we've never had before for a GDI showing, like: Running water! Indoor bathrooms! HEAT! I figure we saved up enough karma at The Thing that we can have some comfort for one show.

Seriously, you push a button and all the windowshades just... you know, hum into place. It's pretty great.
Iron Hill's "Gathering of the Gourds" Pre-Party and "Army of Darkness" Double-Header!
What's that you're saying? It wouldn't be an end-of-season showing without a Halloween-themed party? Well, okay then, you got it! Just across the street, Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant will be having their "Gathering of the Gourds" party, with the Guerilla Drive-In as featured guests! Come sample specially-made pumpkin beers:Boom Stick Pumpkin Ale! Bruce Camp-ale! Punktoberfest! At 5:00, they'll be tapping a ginormous pumpkin filled with Ichabod Imperial Pumpkin Ale!
We'll be screening Army of Darkness over there, too come anytime during the afternoon, or for dinner, then head over to the Chester County Historical Society for Edward Scissorhands
